Wisconsin. – Since most of Southern Wisconsin is experiencing some level of severe weather threat late tonight
The National Weather Service said it’s warning of a severe thunderstorm in areas with winds of up to 60 mph tonight — even if there’s no thunder or lightning in the storm cell.
This means that you may receive some alerts on your phone even if you do not see it outside. This does not mean that the alarm is false – it means that there is strong and potentially damaging winds in your area and you should be in a safe place away from windows.

These alerts can be sent out anytime between 8 pm and 12 pm, so citizens should ensure that they have several ways to obtain these warnings.
– Including the First Warn Weather app, which can send customized alerts to your phone or tablet, even if the power goes out
You’ll want to make sure to attach any patio furniture, trash cans, or even holiday decorations you might have outside.
High winds are also expected to cause power outages, so you should make sure you have backup plans and alternative options.
