Jeff Garlin Leaves ‘The Goldbergs’ Amid On-Set Misconduct Allegations

Jeff Garlin was left at a surprising moment in the sitcom “The Goldbergs” after an ongoing string of misconduct on the set.

The departure from the bombshell comes several weeks after the 59-year-old comedian publicly revealed that he had not been fired from the ABC sitcom.

It was a mutual decision by Garlin not to return to the series, as per the agreed date.

In these moments, Garlin left immediately – and would not complete his work on the remainder of Season 9 of “The Goldbergs”.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Garlin admitted to Vanity Fair that this has all been the subject of an investigation in HR over the past three years, due to his specific behaviour.

During this period, the alum rejected his actions on the “Arrested Development” program previously, describing them as strange and ridiculous, and also misunderstood them, and rubbed some actors and crew members the wrong way.

*- “It’s always the same,” Garleen said sadly, commenting on receiving things. , “It’s mostly about me and my generosity on set. They don’t think it’s appropriate. But that’s where we are.”

* He also added that he did not know how to respond to these accusations, “Because as a comedian, all I can say is ‘I’m sorry’, if someone feels offended by what I say.

Garlin, the “Mad About You” actor, also admitted that he was almost fired in 2019 due to inappropriate language he spoke during production, by using the word “vagina” on the set.

Other complaints included repeatedly discussing “balls”, using degrading language, and referring to longtime female colleagues using offensive nicknames.

Complaints also included some unease about the actor’s tendency to distribute hugs – something that Garlin is accustomed to.

He replied, “It’s a quick hug, and I didn’t realize anyone was upset by this, and I would gladly respect anyone who would say, ‘Please don’t hug me, I’m not comfortable.'” “

The makers of “The Goldbergs” have not yet announced whether to renew the tenth season or not in light of these events and Garlin’s departure.

It’s also unclear whether or not the funny man’s dismissal will negatively affect his work on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” as Garlin serves as a key member of this team and executive producer as well.
