Buffalo Police: Body found behind home on Lilac Street
Buffalo, New York: The body of a woman who was reported missing by the family 24 hours earlier, on Tuesday, January 11, was found in the backyard of a home along Lilac Street, police said.
It is now unclear when the body was found.
However, police said the missing woman’s body was seen in the yard by Buffalo Police’s drone technology.
“It is with great sadness that the woman who was found dead in the yard behind a house on Lilac Street, went missing on Tuesday as 74-year-old Ana Rodriguez,” a family representative confirmed to The Buffalo News.
Mrs. Rodriguez, who was severely affected by dementia, was last seen at approximately 1:00 p.m. Monday on Lilac Street, in detail off South Park Avenue, east of Hopkins Street.
It was found by the police. Tuesday at about 12:45 p.m., Buffalo police found the body of a 74-year-old woman, according to Joseph Grammaglia, deputy commissioner of police.
For the record, the police do not suspect anything wrong with the death, but the Erie County Medical Examiner’s office is already the one who will determine how the woman died.
The police, according to the family’s requests for the missing Anna Rodriguez, were searching starting Monday afternoon in the areas around Lilac Street.
Dozens of law enforcement officers from several agencies participated in the research, for example (Amherst Police), (Erie County Sheriffs), (and K-9 units of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office).
An Erie County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was also used for the search Tuesday morning.
