Two dead multiple injuries

Gelderland, New York – State police say an accident involving multiple vehicles and a towed trailer left two people dead and multiple injuries.
The accident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Thruway between Exit 25 and 24. Pictures from the scene show an Amazon tractor trailer on fire.
The forces confirmed the killing of two people at the scene and multiple injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Thruway authority says the east direction on the highway will be closed until further notice.
