Twitter permanently on Sunday suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account over COVID-19 misinformation

Twitter has suspended the non-public account of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor for good, for infringements of Twitter politicians by providing misleading tweets, “repeated violations of the COVID-19 information policy.

“In an Associate in Nursing email to NPR, provided by an advocate for the aforementioned social media company “Twitter”, it is clear that in accordance with our permanent shutdown order for this policy, we will be suspending accounts for good, due to repeated violations of the policy.”

Twitter permanently bans U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene

Twitter imposed a five-year rule in March 2021, which forces user accounts to be locked out if they post tweets containing false information related to COVID-19 — the number of visits a user accumulates, much of which is quickly blocked from accessing their accounts.

However, if the user receives 5 warnings, their account will be permanently suspended. Twitter has not confirmed that the tweet was the final blow to Henry Graham Green.

The company confirmed that the Georgian republican government’s official Twitter account remains active.

Greene said, in a stern statement following her Twitter investigation, that Twitter is “an enemy of America and cannot stand reality.”
