Traffic incident in Carpinteria 101

CARBINTERIA, CA – A rollover accident on Highway 101 due to slowing through Carpinteria on Wednesday morning.
The accident caused a slowdown in traffic on Highway 101.
The morning’s journey has been sluggish for drivers heading north since the accident was reported at 6:54 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol reported that one vehicle flipped over and was on the roof of the slow lane.

The driver was reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The traffic accident is said to be related to a big truck and an oil spill.
Caltrans reports that traffic is supported along Southbound Highway 101 in Santa Barbara, with additional accidents near Toro Canyon Road.
As such, traffic has shifted back up to Evans Road.
