The National Weather Service is looking at a water basin that moved briefly ashore as a weak hurricane in Fort Myers Beach on Saturday.
A video taken by Alex Hamlin shows the faucet making its way across the ground, turning into a hurricane bringing down trash cans as onlookers flee.
Hurricanes are part of storm lines moving over southwest Florida that are expected to bring in cooler temperatures.
Their home was among dozens damaged in three communities Sunday when a tornado with winds of up to 118 miles per hour swept south of Fort Myers, cutting 125 yards as it moved across the ground less than two miles.

Several beachgoers posted the incident on social media showing people running as debris hovered around them.
Minor damage was reported at Lani Kai Beach Resort.
