Four bodies were found at two different locations in Virginia in the span of a month, and they all appear to be victims of the Shopping Cart Killer, who police believe killed his victims by tossing them in front of fast-moving vehicles.

Anthony Robinson is suspected to have killed at least four women. Some of those killings occurred in Virginia.

CBS News reports that Harrisonburg, Va., Police Chief Kelley Warner announced that Anthony Robinson 35 of Washington D.C., has been charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of Virginia residents Danielle Samson 25, and her husband Elijah Sampson 28.

Police say Robinson used a grocery cart to move bodies after killing them in August 2019, and “The problem is, if they would have had that angle on the guy, that probably would have been a bigger case,” said Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Eric Rasmussen.killing them.

Robinson, who also goes by the name “Toby”, was arrested in July in Rockingham County, Virginia. He has been identified as a convicted felon and has a long history of sexual abuse in multiple states, according to court records.

Police in Harrisonburg arrested Robinson last month and charged him with two counts of murder after finding two bodies in a vacant lot in the city.

Shopping Cart Killer
Anthony Robinson met his victims online, took them to motels to kill them and transported their remains in shopping carts to “their final resting place,” the Fairfax County police chief said.

SERIAL KILLER INVESTIGATION: An alleged serial killer, dubbed “the shopping cart killer,” has been arrested in Virginia after authorities discovered the bodies of four women since August. Pierre Thomas reports as officials say there could be more victims.

After Robinson’s arrest and subsequent interrogation, police investigating the case searched around the Moon Inn in Fairfax County, Virginia.

 

Robinson 35 allegedly met his victims on dating websites and lured them to local motels. He would then kill their and dispose of their bodies in vacant lots.

Remains of a second person were found in a large plastic container along with Brown’s, and it has not been identified yet. A shopping cart was also found next to the container.
Robinson has no criminal history. He is being held without bond at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg Regional Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 27.
His attorney Louis Nagy declined to comment when approached by ABC News.
