Ridgeland man arrested, after barricading himself inside home

UMATILLA, Ore. – Shootout at Wildhorse Casino and Resort in Oregon, A shootout with police at Wildhorse Casino and Resort left 1 injured Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a gunman at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino on Wednesday afternoon.

The Confederate Tribes of Umatilla said police intercepted a gunman at the door.

An exchange of fire with the police resulted in the shooting of a bystander and a suspect.

The circumstances of the passers-by and the suspect are not yet known.

Confederate tribes in the Umatilla Indian Reservation confirmed that police intercepted the suspect at the door where the shootout took place.

A bystander was shot during the event and their condition is currently unknown.

The LifeFlight helicopter responded to the scene.

The suspect was arrested.

“We are asking the public to stay away from the casino and resort area at this time while officials continue to assess the situation and conduct their investigations,” the allied tribes said.

Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center has canceled the remainder of its appointments due to the shooting situation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy today,” the health center said on Facebook.

“Please stay away from the casino and resort area while officials continue to assess the situation and conduct their investigations.”
