At least one person was shot near the store, which is off State Route 315.
Pennsylvania State Police said several shots were fired and described the shooting as an “attempted murder.”
The authorities are actively searching for the shooter.
The shooting took place outside the store off State Route 315.
Officials are asking residents in Dupont and Pittston to take shelter and close their doors.

Police are closing roads around Walmart and the Pilot Travel Center.
According to state police and alarm systems, Route 315 is now closed in both directions.
Eyewitness news crews saw a helicopter flying over the area while police cars lined up on the side of Route 315 with armed officers and K9s patrolling the area.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
