Shooting inside S.F. Muni train, One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting on the Money Train in San Francisco Wednesday morning, police said.
San Francisco police officer Catherine Winters said the shooting took place around 10 a.m. between Forest Hill and Castro stations.
It was announced that one of the victims was killed at the scene.
The other victim was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
“Dreadful news this morning: At MUNI between Forest Hill and Castro station, the SFPD has informed us that a shooting took place inside the train,”
Myrna Melgar, a board member of the San Francisco City and County Board of Supervisors, wrote on Twitter.
MUNI is a network of fuel-efficient buses, light rail trains, historic streetcars, and cable cars in San Francisco.
“Two victims were killed. One died and one is in hospital,” Melgar said in the mail. “The perpetrator ran out of the train at Castro station.”
