Shooting at gas station
Oak Lawn, Illinois – Police in the southwestern suburb of Oak Lawn are investigating a shooting near a gas station Tuesday afternoon.
Chopper7 was at the scene near W. 111th Street and S. Pulaski Rd. Around 5:30 p.m., a bullet hole was seen in the driver’s window of a red truck parked on 111th Street.
A shooting was reported at BP’s station at 111th Street and Pulaski Road, on the border with the Mount Greenwood neighborhood, after there was no home security in Chicago.
As of 6 pm, the place was cordoned off and secured and police were seen investigating.
Police closed off 111th Street West to Cicero Avenue.
Oak Lawn Police said Pulaski Road is also closed between 107th and 111th Streets.
It is not clear if anyone has been injured.
Police have not yet released any information about the shooting.
Drivers are encouraged to look for alternative routes.
