The team announced Wednesday sad quote, Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson dead at 26.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Jaylon Ferguson,” the team said. “He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and an infectious personality.
The cause of death was not immediately reported.
Lawson’s embassy, Ferguson’s agent, said in a sad quote, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson.
The family asks for your prayers and your privacy during this difficult time.”
“We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost so soon.”

The Ravens selected Ferguson in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft from Louisiana Tech.
He played 14 games during his junior season and had 31 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a faltering recovery.
In 2020, Ferguson played in 14 matches and had 30 tackles, formations and a quick recovery as well.
In 2021, he played only 10 games and had six sacks during that season.
Ferguson was a standout player for the Louisiana Tech team.
He was named the 2018 USA Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was the first-team selection at all conferences in 2017 and 2018.
Recorded the most sacks in NCAA FBS history with 45.
