Bomb threat that forced York College evacuated, deemed a hoax
Rural Northern Illinoi — Five people died and six others were injured when a house fire broke out Monday morning in rural Boone County, according to NBC affiliate WREX in Rockford.
Officials said this fire broke out at about 2:30 a.m. on the 11,000 block of Fleming Street in the Garden Prairie, about 7 miles east of Belvedere.
WREX also initially reported that two people died in the fire accident and six others were hospitalized after the fire.

In another update provided this afternoon, fire officials said a total of five people in the house had died.
The names and ages of the victims were not disclosed.
The Illinois fire marshal and local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
