Police Investigating Apparent Double Murder
KENNETT SQUARE, Pennsylvania – A 55-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and their 12-year-old child were found dead after a double murder and suicide in Kennett Square from gunshot wounds, investigators said.
Authorities in Chester County, Pennsylvania, are investigating an apparent double murder and suicide that killed a child and two adults.
The discovery was made Monday morning inside a home on Federal Walk in Kennett Square.
On Monday, East Marlborough Township police responded to a home on Federal Walk in Kennett Square for a welfare check.
When they arrived, they found the bodies of a 55-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and a 12-year-old child.
All three had apparently died of gunshot wounds. Multiple cartridge casings were found at the scene while a semi-automatic pistol was seen on the ground near the man.
It is unclear who fired the fatal shot.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy for the victims’ family, loved ones and our community,” said Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan. “You have my deepest sympathy.
We will use all our resources to determine the cause of this sane and tragic accident. This is an ongoing investigation and we will update the public as soon as possible.”
Chester County detectives and East Marlborough Police are investigating the incident.
