Philadelphia – A major water outage occurred Wednesday morning in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing section.
Eyewitness News was told that the 48-inch fracture occurred at the intersection of 56th Street and Springfield Avenue around 6 a.m.

Eleven people have been rescued from a flooded street after a 48-inch main water cut in North Philadelphia
Close the street between 29th Street and Westmoreland Street.
Distresses and incoming calls began shortly around 6 p.m., on Tuesday, to the 2900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.
Authorities advised residents to avoid an area in North Philadelphia, and workers were stranded inside a facility.

The entire intersection was flooded, cars sank, and water seemed to seep into some homes.
He also assisted firefighters and police at the scene.
Firefighters helped evacuate their homes in the area.
