Paul Pelosi ahusband arrested
Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was arrested Saturday in Napa, California, for allegedly driving under the influence, according to county records.
The arrest report shows Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. PT on Saturday.
He was booked at 4 a.m. on Sunday and charged with misdemeanour for allegedly driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher.
The bail was set at $5,000.
Nancy Pelosi was not in California at the time of her husband’s arrest.
It was in Providence, Rhode Island, where she received an honorary degree from Brown University and gave her graduation speech for her graduating class.
The Napa County Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A representative for Nancy Pelosi’s office said the spokesman was not in California at the time of the incident.
“The Speaker will not comment on this private matter that occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Pelosi’s spokesman Drew Hamill said in a statement.
On Sunday, Nancy Pelosi received an honorary degree from Brown University and delivered her graduation speech for the school’s 2022 graduating class.
