The suspect is being held in oroville shooting, California, Wednesday night after five people were shot, killing 1 and wounding 4, on a Greyhound bus at a gas station, and they were taken to the hospital.
1 killed, several hurt after oroville shooting inside Greyhound bus in Butte County, officials say
Officials said that the victim of the accident 1 died, and about 4 injured, Wednesday evening, after a shooting in Butte County during a quarrel inside a bus.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office said the Oroville Police Department received calls at approximately 7:35 p.m. about a shooting inside a Greyhound bus outside the ampm store.
Paramedics arrived and found four people with gunshot wounds, and then transferred them to area hospitals.
One person died at the scene of a fatal shot despite life-saving measures.
The sheriff’s office said some of the victims of the shooting were rushed to the Inlo Medical Center in Chico for treatment.
Deputies went to the scene and arrested the suspect at Walmart himself linked to the shooting on the bus, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
The mayor confirmed that one of the four victims was a minor who had injuries that were not life-threatening.
At about 8 p.m., the mayor said, the suspect entered the shooting, which he later described as “incoherent.”
Mayor Reynolds said there was only a physical altercation that had actually taken place at Walmart but that there had been no shootings yet.
