Man killed his wife, two daughters in Lexington, why
Medford, Mass – A National Grid worker died early Thursday after an accident at the underground work site in Medford.
The unidentified worker was on a project on Salem Street when something went wrong around midnight.
The police closed the road and transported the worker and three officers who responded to the hospital.
The crew was working at 12:30 a.m. with a police officer near 500 Salem Street when the accident occurred.
The victim, who was working underground, was taken to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Police said the officers are fine and taken as a precautionary measure after being checked by EMS at the scene.
Three police officers were also sent to hospital as a precaution.

A section of Salem Street was closed during the investigation.
Medford firefighters were also called because electricity was cut off to a home on Salem Street.
Some of the people who live there have medical problems, so the firefighters are there in case someone needs help.
