Cop Stabbed, Suspect Shot in Coney Island
Milwaukee – The Milwaukee Police Department announced Thursday, May 5, that missing woman Emily Rogers, who has been the subject of searches for days, has been found dead in St. Francis.
Police said several suspects are in custody, and the investigation is still ongoing. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Rogers, 23, was last seen near the 25th and Beecher on Tuesday, April 26th.
On Monday, a close friend told FOX6 News that she found Rogers’ phone in some bush near 36th and Branting.
That same afternoon, Milwaukee police searched Burnham Park, which is less than half a mile from the 36th and Branting site.
That friend told the police that Burnham Park was the last place Rogers’ friend was seen. The police combed the area with dogs and they stayed there for hours.
On Wednesday, a police tape surrounded Rogers’ home near 25 and Beecher where she was last seen, a squad car parked outside.
A police investigator was seen getting a surveillance video from a nearby grocery store.
