Severe flooding in Maryland forced singer Halsey to cancel a concert Wednesday night.
Videos taken by party-goers showed water gushing through the walkways and submerging the feet of attendees at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
Other videos showed water gushing from an overhanging side of the outdoor amphitheater, drowning the party’s attendees.
Halsey apologized to fans on social media after canceling the concert.
“Maryland doesn’t even know what to say,” she wrote, adding that she was “sad and terrified” and hoped everyone could go home safely. “I love you guys more than anything.”

The area was under a flash flood warning and under a hurricane warning for a brief period that ended on Wednesday evening.
The county closed several roads due to flooding and falling trees, according to WJZ-TV.
In another post, the singer explained to a fan that she wanted to perform “more than anything” but “it would be very unsafe if I went there and people rushed onto the stage during or after the storm.
It is out of my control tonight but I promise you whatever I can choose, I chose your safety.”
After announcing another delay before 9 p.m., and then telling fans to return after another delay, after 10 p.m., officials acknowledged that “Halsey’s show will not happen due to technical difficulties related to the weather.”
Disturbed by the confusion caused by the inclement weather, Halsey wrote, “I promise I wanted more than anything.
But I couldn’t because it would have been very unsafe if I went out there and people rushed onto the stage during or after the storm.
There were many things out of my control tonight but I promise you whatever I can choose, I chose your safety.”
