Man in custody

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, a man was arrested Friday morning for kidnapping a 10-month-old girl at gunpoint.
BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC – An amber alert issued Friday morning after an infant was kidnapped on Hilton Head Island has been cancelled.
Representatives responded to the Hilton Head Island apartment complex Thursday night after 11 p.m. after learning that a baby girl had been kidnapped by her non-custodial father, Jarius House (25).
Wearing a flak jacket and armed with a pistol, Housee forced himself into an apartment and assaulted the child’s mother.
Hussey then fled the apartment, taking the infant with him, and drove off in a Hyundai Sonata.
Investigators said Heusi held the infant at gunpoint and threatened to shoot her.
Hyundai was tracked through Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties, MPs say.
Authorities in those counties initially identified and chased Houseie, however, the pursuits were terminated for the child’s safety and due to the dangerous speeds.
Friday morning, just after 3 a.m., an amber alert was issued to the public.
Georgia law enforcement agencies placed a Hyundai in the parking lot of the Statesboro apartment complex.
Authorities contacted Hussey and detained him.
The child was found safely, and the authorities found a pistol and a flak jacket in the car.
Hussey is currently imprisoned in Georgia and will be extradited to Beaufort County on the following charges:
Second degree domestic violence
Philon has a pistol
Signing and presenting a firearm
Unauthorized use of the vehicle
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says Housee is likely to face more criminal charges because he has committed numerous crimes in other jurisdictions.
