BATTON ROUGE, Los Angeles – Two people have died and two others have been hospitalized after a shooting broke out near the Louisiana Mall on Bluebonnet Boulevard in Baton Rouge Friday afternoon on Picardie Avenue, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

The BRPD added that this was a “highly planned” and “targeted” shooting. According to the sergeant. LJean McKneely with the BRPD, the shooter sprinted past the victims’ car, opened fire, and then got into a separate car to get away.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, four people were injured in the shooting.
Two people were killed and two others were taken to hospital in an unknown condition.
The BRPD said the shooting appeared to have been a targeted attack that involved multiple “violent groups”.

This violence was not indiscriminate, and the BRPD is working to apprehend the perpetrators as quickly as possible.
