Fitness influencer Lexi Reed hospitalized and put into a medical coma after organs ‘began to fail’
Her family revealed that Lexi Reed inspired her 1.2 million followers to strive towards a healthy lifestyle, but a mysterious illness has put the weight-loss influencer in critical condition for weeks.

Reed, 31, whose social media following grew after she began documenting her journey of losing 312 pounds with husband Danny in 2016.
She’s been in the hospital for a month, according to Danny, who shared a health update on her Instagram on Thursday.

However, she is now in the hospital and unable to walk, according to her husband’s post.

In the post, which shows Reid in a hospital bed, Danny said that “a few weeks ago” the fitness influencer was getting sick and was struggling to keep food down.

According to Danny, after Reed began “acting differently,” he brought her to the hospital, where she was medically put into a coma and put on a ventilator.

Danny said in the post, after explaining that doctors told him that Reed’s organs break down if you wait. “She is currently on dialysis, cannot walk, and is working on recovery.

After a significant weight loss, I decided to undergo skin removal surgery in 2018, and cut off 7 pounds of excess flesh.
“I am in so much pain. I wrote at the time: I had never had surgery before, and I cried several times daily.
“I am determined to heal and provide all my healing.”

“She is currently on dialysis, cannot walk, and is working on recovery,” Danny continued in his post. “Getting her back to health was our top priority.”

Her husband, who has been involved in his 95-pound weight loss journey via discoveringdanny, said the family “unfortunately” does not have health insurance and may launch GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses, People reported.
