Minnesota bracing for two nights of stormy weather, Twin Cities
LAGUNA NIGEL, CA – Several oceanfront homes in Laguna Niguel are now engulfed in flames as fast-moving brush fires spread rapidly in strong winds.
The fire burned nearly three acres in the area near Aliso Woods Canyon.
‘Coastal Fire’ torches homes in Laguna Hills area
The eviction order affects the Laguna Niguel communities of Coronado Point Drive, Vista Court and Via La Rosa in the city’s Pacific Island region, according to the Orange County Police Department.
The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon between Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach near a water treatment plant, according to the Orange County Fire Authority, and quickly broke out in size.
The fire, which has been dubbed a “coastal fire,” has grown to about 150 acres with 0% containment, according to the Orange County Fire Authority as of 5:50 p.m.
Authorities said there were no reports of any injuries from the fire as of 5:57 p.m.

The Orange County Fire Authority is currently working in unified command with several departments throughout Southern Orange County.
. The Laguna Beach Police Department has issued voluntary evictions for residents who live in the Balboa Nyes/Portafina neighborhood.
Residents and their pets are asked to make preparations in case an immediate eviction order is issued.
