Jefferson County under Flash Flood
Birmingham, Ala -A flash flood warning is in effect for Jefferson and Shelby counties in central Alabama until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

JEFFERSON – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of the Ohio Valley including Jefferson County.
There were several rescues in the flooded waters and roads on Birmingham’s South Side as it became a strong, almost constant storm around 3pm
UAB said its campuses are experiencing flooding in the districts. UAB Urgent Care at 125 20th S Street is closed for the rest of the day due to downtown flooding.
The school announced the closure of the following roads:
14th Street S & Fifth Avenue S.
22 S Street and 7 S Avenue.
13 S. & 11th Ave. So.
14 S. Street by UAB . Police Department
