Fannin County tornado

Section of Route 1 Reopens After Deadly Wrentham Crash
There is a lot of damage but no casualties from Monday’s tornado in Fannin County.
Reports say a funnel cloud fell near Leonard, about 30 miles northeast of Makeni, destroying some barns and outbuildings.
A fire in a structure in Honey Grove was blamed on trees that brought down power lines.
Teams from the National Weather Service in Fannin County are expected Tuesday to survey the damage left behind after an apparent tornado Monday evening west of Leonard Town.
NBC 5 crews found a trail of damage, and several farm buildings and barns were destroyed along FM 981 and State Highway 78.
On Highway 69 in Leonard, an RV trailer towing vehicle overturned.
The power was off around Leonard, Trenton, and Blue Ridge.
In the event of a Blue Ridge outage, the hurricane threw a tractor into a power shaft.
Crews from the National Weather Service will be out today to survey the damage.
Trees were uprooted and coins were scattered everywhere, many wrapped around tree limbs. A number of barns containing agricultural equipment were also severely damaged.
