Highland Park, Los Angeles – No suspects were named in the shooting that killed a man in Highland Park Monday night.
Family members identified the victim as Alfred Montez. They say he went out to buy ice cream from a street vendor.
Investigation underway after fatal shooting in Highland Park
Authorities at the Louisville Metro Police Department said the attack happened shortly after 11 p.m. in Building 700 of Phillips Lane.
Investigators said the victim was a white man in his mid to late twenties.
The shooting took place at 13933 Woodward Ave today between Manchester Parkway and Davison Highway.
Michigan State Police, the Metro Detroit Post, said on Twitter: “Soldiers with canine and aviation units are currently searching for the suspect in the surrounding area.
He is said to be walking.

Montez was shot just after 5 p.m. near 52nd Street and Monte Vista.
