At least two people were killed in a crash in Glen Ridge, New Jersey

One of the largest white sharks in the world, measuring over 12 feet in length, has been spotted off the coast of the United States.

This giant creature, known as Ironbound, measures 12 feet 4 inches and is said to weigh around 452 kilograms (71 stone).

Three days ago, a shark struck a bang off the coast of North Carolina as a signal that it was heading north.

Named after West Iron Bound Island near Lunenburg, the shark was tagged in October 2019 in waters around Nova Scotia, Canada, and has traveled an estimated 13,000 miles since then.

The Ironbound tracker was commissioned by the Naval Research Group OCEARCH. Rings when the dorsal fin breaks the surface of the water.

Over the past few weeks, a great white shark has been located off the US coast, and its last stalker was hit by sonic strikes off the New Jersey coast at around 10:30 p.m. on April 28.

“The mating season is over, we think, and Iron Pound is on its way north to get somewhere well-fed and regain strength for the next year.”

He added: “Sharks have been around for about 400 million years. In many cases, they occupy a so-called top predator position in marine food webs.

Other great white sharks that haunt US shores include the 17-foot-high Ocean Queen, the 20-foot-high Haole’s Girl, and the 15-foot-high Miss Costa.
