LOS ANGELES — Joseph Gatt, 50, of Los Angeles, was arrested at his home April 6 by investigators from the Children’s Cybercrime Task Force, according to the Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of engaging in “explicit, online sexual contact with a minor.” ..
Los Angeles police reached out to the public on Wednesday looking for people who may have fallen victim to an actor who has been arrested.
Gatt was detained on Wednesday after authorities issued a search warrant at his Los Angeles home.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Task Force on Internet Crimes Against Children has launched an investigation into Gatt after they received information that he had engaged in sexually explicit contact with a minor across state lines.
The actor was later arrested with a pending felony warrant for contacting a minor for a sexual offense.
Gat was released on bail of $5,000. A representative for Gatt did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
