Gelderland, New York – A 17-year-old teenage girl was shot in the hand Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of Crossgates Mall near Best Bay, police said early Sunday night.

Gelderland Police said they are currently investigating a report of the shooting near the Uno Pizzeria & Grill area of Crossgates Mall on Sunday, around 3:00 p.m.
Police said at least one victim was injured while entering the mall.

According to the police, the area was secured and the public was advised to look for alternative routes.
Police said emergency responders were called to the scene, and the victim’s condition is currently unknown.

Gelderland Police confirmed the report and said the victim sustained minor injuries.
The girl was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

She said all the suspects fled before the police arrived.
