The Carnival cruise ship that set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, caught fire on Thursday.
The Grand Turk’s Carnival Freedom ship was on a five-day cruise when a fire broke out inside the cargo ship’s funnel, according to a Carnival press release.
The cause of the fire has not been announced and it may take some time to discover it.
Carnival says the fire was quickly put out by emergency response teams, and all guests and crew members are fine.
The local authorities allowed the ship’s guests to go ashore.

Carnival Freedom, was flown home in Port Canaveral and departed Monday for a cruise to the Caribbean.
Several passengers were ashore when the fire broke out, but one passenger on the plane said they were asked to wear life jackets and gather at gathering stations.
This is where Jeremy Faulkner captured a video of the fire Thursday morning when he saw thick fire porsche from his ship’s dining room.
“We saw wreckage falling as well, so I was kind of afraid that something might hit our ship and something might happen here.
Fortunately the entire crew was keeping everyone calm and the chaos from spreading, but I was one of the first to see it, so it was pretty crazy,” Faulkner said.
In 2016, more than 500 passengers and crew were evacuated from a burning ship about one mile off the northern coast of Puerto Rico.
Many on board the Caribbean Fantasy needed medical care and alarm systems, although there were no reports of deaths.
