Bar Harbor fire at Bluenose Inn
Bar Harbor, Maine – Fire crews at the scene of the fire at the Bar Harbor Bluenose Inn.
A large hotel in Bar Harbor was on fire Thursday, with flames blazing through the ceiling and smoke visible from miles away.
The Bangor Daily News reported that the multi-story Bluenose Inn was closed for the winter, and no one was inside the building.
Multiple crews respond.
The road is closed on Eden Street and Highbrook.
Officials said firefighters were still working to put out the flames late Thursday afternoon.
The fire engulfed most of the annex building directly across the car park from the inn’s main building.
The Bluenose Inn burned down the main part of the building in 1994 and was reconstructed.
