Police Respond to Possible Shooting at Minnesota’s Mall of America

BUTLER TWP, Ohio — Armed and dangerous person of interest named in Butler Twp. shooting, Butler Township neighborhood Friday morning.

Police were called to Building 7200 in Hardwicke Place at about 11:30 a.m. after reports of gunshots being fired.

Butler Township Police Chief John Porter said that when officers arrived at the scene, they found a total of four victims at several crime scenes with gunshot wounds.

All four victims were killed at the scene.

According to a family member at the scene, officers found two of the victims dead at a home on Hardwick Place. The two were reportedly a mother and her 15-year-old daughter.

The police are looking for a person interested in the shooting.

The 39-year-old is Stephen Alexander Marlowe.

He is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing shorts and a yellow T-shirt.

His car is a white 2007 Ford Edge SUV with license plate number JES 9806.

If anyone sees Marlow, they are encouraged to call 911 immediately and not approach him, as he may be armed and dangerous.

Porter said police do not believe there is any continuing threat to the community, however, crews will continue to monitor the area should Marlowe return.

The Dayton Police Bomb Squad was also called in to ensure there were no further threats to neighborhood safety.

“We are working to establish whether there was any motive for this horrific tragedy or whether mental illness played any role,” he said.
