Five Marines Dead After Aircraft Crashes Near Highway
Smithsburg, Maryland – A shooting at a business in western Maryland claimed several victims Thursday and the suspect is no longer a threat to the community, law enforcement said.
The shooting occurred at a company in the Smithsburg community, a spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt.
Carly Howes told The Associated Press by phone.
Columbia Machine is a company that offers “complete equipment lines to customers in more than 100 countries,” according to its website.
McCauley said the scene is still active but there is no threat to the community.
