4-year-old boy found safe after wandering away from Danville home

FBI agents found the memo in Payton Gendron’s bedroom alongside “handwritten drawings” of a Tops Friendly Market, prosecutors revealed as they filed hate crime charges Wednesday.

FBI agents found 18-year-old Payton Gendron’s note during a raid on his home in Conklin, New York, the day after 10 black people were killed and three others injured at Top Friendly Market on May 14.

Details of the memo were included in a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in which the feds beat Gendron with 26 counts of hate crimes and firearms offenses — some of which carry a possible death penalty.

Gendron, who already faces multiple murder charges, on Wednesday had 26 counts of hate crimes and firearms offenses attacked.

The Ministry of Justice said he would face the death penalty if convicted.

“Gendron’s motive for the mass shootings was to prevent blacks from replacing whites and to eliminate the white race, and to inspire others to commit similar assaults,” the complaint said.

The teen already faces a life sentence without parole if he is convicted of charges previously brought to the state in connection with the massacre.

In addition to the note in Gendron’s bedroom, FBI agents retrieved a receipt for a candy bar purchased at a Buffalo supermarket on March 8 — two months before the massacre.

The complaint stated that two hours before the shooting, he again went to the summit for the last time to count the number of black individuals there.

Prosecutors privately revealed that Gendron systematically shot blacks and did not kill a white employee who was shot in the leg.

“Instead of being shot, Gendron said, ‘Sorry…’ before proceeding to the rest of the store looking for more blacks to shoot and kill,” the complaint read.
