6 people shot in downtown Chattanooga

At least six people were injured Saturday night during a shootout in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, police said.
Chattanooga police officers were patrolling the downtown area around 10:48 p.m. local time when they “noted several parties exchanging fire and several people fleeing the area” near 100 Cherry Street.
A police spokesman said: “Our officers have begun providing assistance to victims as well as helping others to safety.”
“They were able to detain at least one of the people involved in the incident in the moments after the shooting started,” he added, alarm systems
.
“We’ve had large groups of juveniles walking around the downtown area this date and we think the shooting was from within that group,” he said.

Police said they have arrested at least one person in connection with the shooting.
The filming location is less than a mile from the Tennessee Aquarium and the city’s waterfront.
