Texas police said two people were arrested after a road rage incident in which a suspect fired a handgun at a car carrying a two-year-old child.

The incident, which was videotaped, occurred on Tuesday, July 26 in Harris County, according to the Sheriff.

A man was driving on Interstate 45 with his two-year-old son in the back seat when he and the suspects stopped their cars at an exit.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a man driving a truck approached the victim and “allegedly assaulted him.”

When the victim started fleeing in his car, Gonzalez said, a woman in the truck came out with a gun and shot the back seat window of the car.

A second bullet was also fired “violently,” with a nearby car dealer hit by bullets, according to Sharif.

Video taken by a driver not involved in the accident shows the woman firing two shots before she and the man escaped in the black van.

Gonzalez said the victim, who was driving, was taken to hospital with a “possible wound” and is listed in good condition.

The child was unharmed. Nazli Ortiz, the 40-year-old woman charged with the shooting, has been charged with aggravated assault.

The sheriff said Benjamin Green, 34, was charged with assault after confronting the other driver.
