Kissimmee, Florida – One person was killed and three others were injured after the shooting at a Target store Wednesday night in Kissimmee, Florida.
Marcos R. Lopez, Osceola County Sheriff, told reporters that two of his deputies were involved in the shooting and are fine.
He declined to provide any information about the shooting itself or what led to the shooting, citing a pending investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
It is the agency tasked with investigating shooting incidents involving the police.
At least three others were injured in the off-target accident at 4795 W. Earlo Bronson Memorial Highway (U.S. Highway 192).
The sheriff’s office said another person was hit by shrapnel in the hand, and two others were injured as they fled the area.
The parking lot was closed with yellow investigation tape and there were more than a dozen vehicles in the area.
One man said he heard what appeared to be gunshots and apparently saw several people running for cover.
