Lockheed Martin in the White Settlement is closed after a shooting incident Thursday morning.
According to the White Settlement Police Department, one person comes to the facility’s main gate near 341 Clifford and Spur Street/Lockheed Boulevard shortly after 5:30 a.m.
One person was killed in a shooting early Thursday morning at the main entry gate for Lockheed Martin in the White Settlement, police said.
Officers responded just after 5:30 a.m. to offices at 1 Lockheed Boulevard and Texas 341 Spur.
Police said an unknown incident occurred at the facility and may have led to the person’s death.

Christopher Cook, the white settlement police chief, told NBC 5 News that the man involved in the incident may have committed suicide.
Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident. A statement said investigators closed off an area around the entrance after a “suspicious device” was found in a suspicious car.
The main gate was closed Thursday morning and employees were told to avoid the Texas 341 Spur and look for alternate routes, according to the tweet.
